Gottlieb Daimler und Karl benz, once again in english attempt :-)

With the invention of high-speed engine and the automobile, Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz set in the eighties of the 19th Century independently the foundation for private trafic. Both bring their personal development with the help of donors and stakeholders into their own company: In Mannheim founded Benz in October 1883 the company Benz & Co. Rheinische gas engine factory, produced in Cannstatt in November 1890, the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG). To make their products known and distinctive, both companies are looking for a catchy trademark. First, it is the name of the inventor himself, "Benz" and "Daimler", which guarantee the origin and quality of the engines and vehicles. The trademark of Benz & Co. is changing especially not - only instead of the gear from 1903 from 1909, a laurel wreath surrounding the name. For the brands of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG), however, emerged after the turn of the century completely new brand name "Mercedes ".
